vzpkg is basically dead because of bit rot.  The Odin folks did release the source code to the OS Template packaging tool that come from Virtuozzo which has been used by them to build the official OpenVZ OS Templates for a few years now.  The name of the tool is vztt.  For more information see:

So far as documentation goes... I haven't really looked for docs on vztt... but since they released the source code... at the very least that is a form of documentation.

I haven't had time (and probably don't the skills) to look into vztt and what it takes to actually start using it... and would just love to see some enterprising OpenVZ user get it figured out for me and write up a wiki post all about it.  So far that hasn't happened.
