The wiki page on the release has a "Coming Soon" section that includes:
"Containers online migration between Virtuozzo 7 nodes using the CRIU project"
>From what you wrote and the coming soon blurb I'd assume the existing thing is left over from Virtuozzo 6 and hasn't been replaced yet with CRIU. When replaced with CRUI, it should work. :)
