Yep, it hit the numfile limit (number of opened files) which was set to 
4096. Set it to 8192.

Well, it doesn't matter if the host is loaded or not -- openvz is a real 
isolation, preventing VEs to be affecting each other (as long as 
configuration is correct, i.e. one does not oversell).
