<p>Hello</p>
<p>I am afraid that you are right, openVZ9 seems to be a dead end .
<br>
</p>
<p>thanks a for the link <a

<div class="moz-cite-prefix">indeed no mention of openVZ9
(community/free edition of Virtuozzo Hybrid Server 9; VHS 9)</div>
<div class="moz-cite-prefix"><br>
</div>
<div class="moz-cite-prefix">lots of things seems to change (lot's
of usual tools replaced by a "Control Pannel") and moreover, no
more system Containers (CT) , which was one of the most
significant advantage of openVZ over other systems . </div>
<div class="moz-cite-prefix"><br>
</div>
<div class="moz-cite-prefix">As a VHS 7 subscriber , I did receive
some information from support and staff regarding openVZ9, but
still no clear statement about continuation of it . some told me
that system CT will be discontinued, others no ... not clear, I
think there's a missinterpretation from system CT and K8S
containers ... I'll reply pointing them to that thread if they
dare reply here ? <br>
</div>
<div class="moz-cite-prefix"><br>
</div>
<div class="moz-cite-prefix">but for now , indeed I am also looking
at Proxmox LXC . <br>

<div>Hello!</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>So, after latest July message, seems the project is finally
dead.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>@Jehan, while I agree there is still the phrasing "Openvz is
the base for Virtuozzo" in the VZ7 doc: <a
href="https://docs.virtuozzo.com/virtuozzo_hybrid_server_7_users_guide/learning-basics/vhs-vs-openvz.html"
moz-do-not-send="true" class="moz-txt-link-freetext">https://docs.virtuozzo.com/virtuozzo_hybrid_server_7_users_guide/learning-basics/vhs-vs-openvz.html</a></div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>In fact there is now a VZ9 doc (not easy to find!) not saying
anything about openvz, and know issues are crystal clear that
openvz is not included :'(</div>
<div><a
href="https://www.virtuozzo.com/hybrid-server-docs/9.0/release-notes-9.0/#known-issues-and-limitations"
moz-do-not-send="true" class="moz-txt-link-freetext">https://www.virtuozzo.com/hybrid-server-docs/9.0/release-notes-9.0/#known-issues-and-limitations</a></div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>No migration from VZ7, no support, no more cli, no more
container at all 😅 </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>And there is also a EOL Policy stating that Virtuozzo Hybrid
Server 7 is now end of life: <a
href="https://docs.virtuozzo.com/virtuozzo_product_lifecycle_policy/index.html"
moz-do-not-send="true" class="moz-txt-link-freetext">https://docs.virtuozzo.com/virtuozzo_product_lifecycle_policy/index.html</a></div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Parallel is not in charge anymore, and Odin seems to have
been bought by Cloudblue (??)</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Like tranxene said, it was a pleasure to use openvz 6 and 7
freely and working with these containers (far better than docker
and even LXC!) but it's time to move on :'(</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Proxmox could be a good alternative for the LXC part.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Good luck for your migration guys!</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Regards,</div>
