Hi !
I'm trying to use OpenVZ to test a distributed application. This application needs Multicast support.
When I try to use Iperf in order to try Multicast between virtual
machines, I can't see any packet using Wireshark on the interface
venet0.
I'm using the kernel 2.18.
Actually, I would like to know if Multicast is possible with OpenVZ and how I can use it.
For multicast to work, you have to use veth not venet (venet is default
and is MAC-less thus no multicasting is possible). Search http://wiki.openvz.org/ and maybe also http://forum.openvz.org/ for more info about veth. Report your results here (maybe also to the wiki).
