Hello,

Yes, it was just the stock ulimit default value of 1024 for open files before I changed it.  I increased that by a factor of 10 to 10240, and that did the trick.  I doubt I needed to bump it up by anywhere near as much, but that certainly enabled the conversion to run through OK.
