[Users] Linux containerization options

I've been using OVZ 7 beta for some weeks now, and despite the lack of a
full feature set compared to openvz legacy, I like it, and I'm using it to
run some containers that actually serve useful purposes here.

I have a friend who is looking to build a free/libre linux container
solution for a struggling small business and he wanted to know what I would
recommend. Actually that's a good question, and for me it boils down to 4
possibilities:

Openvz legacy - it works.
Ubuntu lxc/lxd - not as mature as ovz, but it can do the job
Proxmox (now based on lxc)
Run OVZ 7 beta and hope for the best (crazy idea, right?)

(and sorry, I'm not impressed by the docker hype)

Honestly, if you had to choose one to deploy today, what would you choose?

What if it were 6 months down the road?
