I use both, and no, I can't reproduce the bug with VNC. Mouse pointer
is a bit off, but every click works and there is no "clunky" cursor
movement. "Slow boot" is rather subjective, it boots fast enough for
me.

With windows servers VNC doesn't make much sense anyway in normal
operations since RDP is much more efficient protocol.
