I had both problems on my test machine at home which is a laptop. I
assume preemption is not working in 2.6.26 either?

BTW, when I get some free time I will see if I can hit some of the
problems I was having and file bug reports. I switched back to a
kernel.org 2.6.26 kernel a few weeks ago so I will have to see if I
still have the .config file for the 2.6.26 openvz that was giving me
problems.
