[Users] howto detect veth ip address

I wonder if it is possible to detect the IP address of a virtual
ethernet device inside VE0? Sure, I can do:

>  vzctl exec 777 ifconfig eth0

but is there a faster way, maybe an ioctl for veth777.0

(VPS777 uses dhcp to get the ip address)
