Thought about this.

In the sense of physical overhead ftrace is good.
But it is absolutely unbearable because of huge human overhead.
ftrace implies gigabyte of headers and all the crap around.
Actually, trace_printk uses ftrace channel, it became heavy and
deprecated exactly because it adds per cpu buffers to prepare
arbitrarily formatted messages for ftrace.
