[Devel] NetNS and Netdev follow-up patches

These patches fix a couple of post-ack issues that Oren brought up,
as well as perform some cleanups to some of the more sticky error
paths.

It also fixes compiling without NETNS support, and adds a flag to make
checkpoint ignore netns/netdev details.
