Hi Ola,

an urgent info about your precompiled kernel packages, when upgrading,
this error will occurs:

[...]
You are attempting to install a kernel image (version 2.6.18-openvz-686)
However, the directory /lib/modules/2.6.18-openvz-686/kernel still exists.
If this directory belongs to a previous linux-image-2.6.18-openvz-686
package, and if you have deselected some modules, or installed
standalone modules packages, this could be bad.

[...]

All available package has no extra version-number to differ, an example
for 686er kernel flavour given, but affected all packages!

(1) linux-image-2.6.18-openvz-686_028.18-2.6.18-11-1_i386.deb
(2) linux-image-2.6.18-openvz-686_028.18.1-2.6.18-12-1_i386.deb
...
(3) linux-image-2.6.18-openvz-686_028.28.1-2.6.18-12-1_i386.deb
(\_ when building the next package with the same append-to-version)

-> kernel modules dir for this flavour is
/lib/modules/2.6.18-openvz-686/ ; install the package by overwrite
existing kernels-images and kernel-modules, you know that ?!

I prefer to add a version number depends on OpenVZ patch-ID for this
linux-kernel 028stab028.1 -> 028 and update append-to-version to
-openvz-686-028 or -openvz-028-686.

This give all Debian OpenVZ users a possible solution detect the OpenVZ
patch, by uname -r.

Btw: Debian flavour of 686-bigmem for 4-64G RAM machines is missing ?
Why not using the offical OpenVZ kernel-configs for building kernel
packages ?

Regards,
Thorsten
