[CRIU] CRIU possible on ARMv5?

I noticed CRIU’s Makefile only allows building on ARMv6 (RasPi) and v7, and that v8 is coming Really-Soon-Now.
Is there a technical reason ARMv5 is not enabled?
I have some Marvell Kirkwood (armv5tel, no VFP Floating Point) NAS devices that I use as shell servers, and I never want to re-create a screen/tmux session from scratch again :-)
