The path to ptmx is hardcoded
include/tty.h
...
#define PTMX_PATH       "/dev/ptmx"

I wanted to change it on /dev/pts/ptmx, but then I fixed our zdtm code to
create a symbolic link /dev/ptmx -> /dev/pts/ptmx
