OpenVZ project is announcing a new kernel branch: RHEL5 testing.
This branch is very similar to the stable RHEL5 branch, with one
important exception: *kernels released in RHEL5 testing are
not tested in any way*. These kernels may contain major bugs
and are not recommended for any production environments.

Some kernels released in this RHEL5 testing branch could
be found bug-less by internal QA and will appear in RHEL5
stable branch. That doesn't mean that every kernel will
go through RHEL5 testing branch first -- some might be
released straight into RHEL5 (stable).

We think that the existence of this branch is good because:
* RHEL5 stable branch will have some more testing coverage
    (different workloads, different hardware) leading to
    better stability;
* users of RHEL5 branch will have a preview of the new
    features/bugfixes to appear in RHEL5 stable;
* parties who use our RHEL5-based kernel as a base for their
    kernel will have earlier access to the code.

In order to use enable this kernel branch yum repository,
you need to download new openvz.repo file [1] and set
enable=1 in section named [openvz-kernel-rhel5-testing].
In case you are not using yum, kernels can be downloaded
from [2] or [3] and installed directly by rpm. For non-rpm
based systems, we provide the patch and the set of configs
that are available from the same download pages.

Best regards,
    OpenVZ team.
